Kampong Thom Province: On Friday, July 17, 2026, H.E. Pho Pharith, Secretary of State and member of the Procurement Committee, representing the high esteem of H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, accompanied by H.E. Ek Kunthavary, Undersecretary of State, led an inter-ministerial committee to conduct an inspection and assessment.

The committee, consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Rural Development, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Kampong Thom Provincial Department of Rural Development, visited the sites to evaluate the first phase of routine road maintenance. The project covers five road sections totaling 153,750 meters in length with widths of 5 and 6 meters, all surfaced with DBST asphalt.

These roads span across numerous communes, including Chey, Sambour, Chhuk, Kol, Klay Chheu Teal, Santan, Mean Chey, Ngon, Kampong Chen Cheung, Trea, Banteay Stung, Doung, Samakki, Kraya, Sakream, Tbeng, Ni Pech, Phan Nhoem, Chnar Kraom, and Chnar Leu, located within Kampong Svay, Prasat Sambour, Sandan, Prasat Balangk, and Stung districts in Kampong Thom province.

The project (Reference No. DRR-RM-2026-No.004) was executed by the Department of Rural Infrastructure Development, utilizing funds from Chapter 61. Following a thorough site inspection, assessment, and consultative meeting, the inter-ministerial committee officially approved and accepted the completed work.
